Public Boat Trips
Make your day out in Skipton perfect! Steeped in history and natural scenic beauty, the Leeds Liverpool Canal is a truly fascinating waterway. What better way to discover it than onboard a beautiful traditional canal boat departing from Skipton, one of the oldest and most stunning market towns in the country.
During your 60 minute trip you will experience cruising on Yorkshire’s most attractive waterway, passing by charming buildings and spectacular scenery, along with mill buildings and the many swing bridges which our crew must open, as your friendly skipper unravels the captivating 200 year old tale of the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
The Cobbydale
Purpose built in 1976 to operate as a trip boat at Skipton, the Cobbydale is 58ft long and 11ft wide.
She was completely refurbished in 1997 and her heated cabin is now fitted with comfortable coach seating, pull-down trays, large sliding windows and a WC so you can be assured of your comfort onboard. There is also a well stocked bar serving alcoholic & soft drinks both warm & cold.
Times
Trips depart on the hour every hour from 12 noon, 7 days a week.
Cruises start and finish at the Wharf Canal Basin on Coach Street, Skipton – just 100 yards from the bottom of Skipton High Street.
All trips are run subject to demand with a maximum of 60 passengers, and large groups are therefore advised to book well in advance.
Phone bookings are accepted but please make sure tickets are collected half an hour before sailing time.

Family (2 adults & 2 Children) £17.00
Small Groups (10-29 guests) £6.50 with Coffee & Biscuits/£9.50 with Cream Tea
Tickets are available throughout the day from our ticket office at the Wharf on Coach Street, Skipton.
Dogs welcome! All we ask for is a donation to the RNLI charity box in return.
