Skipton Boat Trips has been named a finalist for the “Small Visitor Attraction of the Year” for the 2020 White Rose Awards.
The White Rose Awards is the largest tourism awards ceremony in the UK. An opportunity for Yorkshire to showcase the best and brightest it has to offer, the standard grows year on year as it continues to wow. Skipton Boat Trips was announced as a finalist amongst a group of 7 of Yorkshire’s top small visitor attractions.
“This is an incredible honour for us” said James Watson, Owner and Director of Skipton Boat Trips. “It’s not just for my wife and I, but also for the two generations of my family who ran the business before us. We have a fantastic, hard-working crew and this nomination really highlights them and all they do for our passengers on a daily basis. The White Rose Awards are the pinnacle of recognition in Yorkshire and we are so honoured to have our family-run canal boat business recognized on such a big stage.”
The White Rose Awards recognises the very best tourism businesses in Yorkshire and is the biggest celebration of its kind in the UK. There are 19 categories and the prize is a coveted White Rose Award trophy presented at a ceremony later this year. Most winners will also get a chance to progress through to the Visit England Awards for Excellence.
