Weddings
A beautiful, traditional, wood-paneled canal boat offers a perfect backdrop for your wedding reception! After picking you up outside of the Register Office or meeting you at our Wharf, you are welcomed on board by our friendly crew. You then sit back and relax while we do the rest! As you glide through the beautiful countryside, you can enjoy Afternoon Tea, Lunch, Roast Dinner, Fish and Chips or anything in between. Our aim is to work with you and within your budget to provide you with a memorable, relaxed, and perfect day. An opportunity to stop in beautiful Farnhill Wood for photos, a full bar onboard, space for up to 40 passengers, and a dedicated team from start to finish, we hope to see you onboard for your special day.
The Dalesman, our dining boat, will be picture-perfect on the day, with complimentary decorations including:
- White Balloons on either side of the boat entrance;
- White bunting flags decorating the boat;
- Head table with tablecloth, hessian table runner, and wedding signs (any or all);
- White paper tablecloths on all tables.
The boat is fully equipped with a full bar, sound system to play your own music, microphone, two toilets, and a full crew that serves everything right to your table. We can pick up outside of the Register Office and drop off either back at the Register Office or at the Wharf Office*. We also welcome you to disembark the boat for wedding and/or family photos (20 minutes).

Full Afternoon Tea including a variety of homemade sandwiches, buttery fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selction of delicious cakes.

Lunch (choice of Yorkshire Ham, Stanforth’s award-winning Pork Pie, Vegetarian quiche or a selection of homemade sandwiches), a selection of salads, fresh-baked rolls and butter, followed by a choice of seasonal puddings.

Ploughman’s Lunch which includes Yorkshire ham, Stanforth’s award-winning pork pie, selection of salads, scotch eggs, local cheeses, fresh-baked rolls and butter, followed by a choice of seasonal puddings

BAR OPTIONS
DRINK PACKAGE A – £15PP
Two drink tokens per person for anything at the bar and at the time of your choosing, raise your glass with a Prosecco toast (can also be enjoyed as a welcome drink when boarding).
DRINK PACKAGE B – £20PP
Welcome your guests onboard with a glass of Prosecco or fresh orange, two drink tokens per person for anything at the bar, and at the time of your choosing, raise your glass with a champagne toast.

* We aim to pick up directly outside of the Register Office, however, we must work around boats that are already moored in the area. This may require wedding guests to walk a short distance to the boat.
