Magical Santa Trips

No matter your age, this is a great way to start the festive season. Come aboard the Cobbydale for a boat ride and meet Santa! Bookings are essential. It sells out fast.

On booking, you are asked for some basic info about the children in the party. Then, a week or two before the trip, you are asked to ring up or email with some more up-to-date details about the children. We then pass this on to Santa. Kids are invited to dress up if they wish, but they don’t have to.

Santa calls up the children by name and invites them to join him at the front of the boat. He has a little chat with them about what you have told us about them and then offers them a bag of goodies. Adults get to appreciate the boat journey whilst enjoying a hot mug of coffee and a tasty mince pie.

These 75-minute trips on board the Cobbydale are extremely popular; bookings are taken all year round, so be sure to get your place in time.

Make a day of it! The Skipton Yuletide Festival is also on the first and second Saturday of December.

 

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2020?

Santa and his team have made a few changes this year, to make sure that we can offer you a secure and comfortable visit, without missing out on any of the fun.

• You will join Santa and friends aboard the Daleman, our largest boat, meaning that there will be more space for households to socially distance.
• Each group will be seated at their own table for up to 4 guests. If you have more than 4 members of your household or bubble, we will put you at more than one table.
• There will be a transparent screen between each table, and if you need to use the toilets you will be required to wear a mask.
• All touch points will be cleaned regularly, staff will wear appropriate PPE, and hand sanitiser will be available before embarking and disembarking the vessel.
• Social distancing will be in effect during queuing, boarding and disembarking.
• Each child who purchases a ticket will receive a toy from Santa.
• Each family group will have an opportunity to spend time with Santa in his grotto area and photo opportunity (no charge for photos – please bring your own camera).
