Treat your staff to something different this Christmas with Skipton Boat Trips. We offer a variety of exciting and different experiences for groups of all sizes. Join us onboard Dalesman, where you can try a gin tasting cruise perhaps, a three-course Christmas dinner, an afternoon tea or something of your choosing, all in the settings of a traditional canal boat, with its warm timber and polished brass interior- the perfect cosy winter setting! If you’re a smaller group, why not hire a day boat and drive yourself for the day- the perfect team bonding day out!
Have a small group? Then why not join us on Friday 13th December from 7-10pm for our first Public Xmas party night. It’s a 3-hour party cruise with Christmas tunes. You’ll get a welcome Gin Fizz, 4 tokens to use at the Gin and Fizz bar, Christmas party food platter. Please call us to reserve your spot.
Magical Santa Trips
No matter your age, this is a great way to start the festive season. Come aboard the Cobbydale for a boat ride and meet Santa! Bookings are essential. It sells out fast.
On booking, you are asked for some basic info about the children in the party. Then, a week or two before the trip, you are asked to ring up or email with some more up-to-date details about the children. We then pass this on to Santa. Kids are invited to dress up if they wish, but they don’t have to.
Santa calls up the children by name and invites them to join him at the front of the boat. He has a little chat with them about what you have told us about them and then offers them a bag of goodies. Adults get to appreciate the boat journey whilst enjoying a hot drink and a tasty mince pie. These 75-minute trips on board the Cobbydale are extremely popular; bookings are taken all year round, so be sure to get your place in time.
Make a day of it! The Skipton Yuletide Festival is also on the first and second Saturday of December.
Public Christmas Dinner Cruise
Let your family enjoy the carols, crackers and Christmas dinner. From the galley, an amazing 3-course meal is brought out to your table. A delicious homemade soup with croutons, and traditional Roast Turkey Dinner, (with all the trimmings, and a second helping!). The Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce is then enjoyed before any coffees are served. It’s so much fun and an unusual venue for a Christmas Event!
Dates: November 24th at noon, December 1st at 4 pm, December 21st at noon.
Note: If you are booking as a party of 2 you may be required to share a table due to the nature of the seating onboard.
